Michael Mayor has since been arrested after the authorities after they responded to an emergency call in #Piqua. On December 5, baby sister alerted the emergency service following a toddler’s unresponsiveness. WHIO reported that Vivian Gardner, a toddler was left with Mayor. Her babysitter trusted the adult male to watch over the toddler and other kids. Meanwhile, she left other kids in his care while taking others to school.

Unfortunately, when she returned, the babysitter noticed that Gardner had sustained bruises. On top of that, the child looked pale and she was not sure why. The babysitter revealed that during her time away from home, she called in to check up on the child. However, things began to look suspicious when at 3. p.m., the toddler was still asleep. Shortly after contacting the police, the authorities and EMS responded to the scene.

Consequently, the child was rushed to the Dayton Children’s Hospital for treatment. There, the doctors determined that the back of her skull had been fractured, and a subdural hematoma. This meant that the little girl’s head suffered a serious blow, leading to blood collection covering the brain. On December 19, the child was confirmed dead.

Meanwhile, Mayor who was the last to cater for the child confessed to hitting her hard to stop her incessant cries. According to the suspect, he intended to put her to sleep. The 34-year-old has been detained in Miami County Jail while awaiting trial. His charges include felonious assault and endangering children.
