Brian Gamboa had attempted to subdue a 16-year-old Florida teenager by acting drunk. However, she fought for her life, leaving the man bruised before his eventual arrest.

WSVN had an exclusive interview with 16-year-old Valerie who was the hero of her own story. According to the Florida teen, she was out on the streets in South Miami on a Thursday morning. Despite the brightness of the day, Gamboa came at her intending to kidnap her.

Although originally from New York, the adult male was a resident of South Miami. Upon sighting Valerie, he stopped his car and walked wobbly towards her. Once he reached proximity, the 32-year-old tried to force his victim to keep quiet, before reaching for her arms. He tried to restrain Valerie and eventually began to strike her head repeatedly.

According to the teenager, despite being under Brian Gamboa’s grip, she fought back brazenly. Finally, Valerie won the struggle after kicking him in between his legs and on the head. This made it possible for an escape and she immediately fled the scene, calling for help.

Meanwhile, the attacker, observing that her screams could attract attention, drove off speedily. However, Gamboa was arrested following his involvement in a hit-and-run that occurred outside a restaurant. Fortunately for Valerie, she was called in by the Miami-Dade Police to identify her attacker.

Brian Gamboa has since been arrested while being charged with kidnapping and battery of a minor. On February 20, he paid off his $30,000 bail bond, however, the suspect is yet to be released from custody.
