Investigators have unearthed different evidence that presents Axel Rudakubana, an 18-year-old murderer, as a disturbed child. Interestingly, these attacks were meticulously crafted before execution. He recently pleaded guilty and confessed to other attempted murders.

Just hours ago, BBC correspondent, Judith Moritz was among the few reporters to witness Rudakubana’s court appearance. The Southport native who had lived a life of crime since age 9 was slapped with murder charges. On July 29, 2024, three of his victims attended a dance class at a Taylor Swift-inspired holiday club.

On that day, Bebe King, 6, Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and Alicia da Silva Aguair, 9 were brutally killed by the 18-year-old murderer. Rudakubana’s killer rage led him to attack ten others— eight minors and two adults, in the environment. This included a 35-year-old yoga teacher, Leanne Lucas, who was in charge.

While standing in court, the suspect did not contest the charges. He pleaded guilty to the murders. The young adult also claimed that he possessed a terrorist document — a PDF that inspired Islamic violence.

Rudakubana who now faces a possible life sentence per the judge has always lived a life of crime. Long before now, he had attacked an alleged bully with a hockey stick, had been expelled from school, and had welcomed numerous police visits. The young blood had also collected information about the IRA, and was referred to the country’s counter-terrorism Prevent program multiple times.

Crown Prosecution Service officer, Ursula Doyle, maintained that Axel Rudakubana nurtured a sick interest in death and violence. Sadly, he was not duly arrested, leading him to endanger and end innocent lives. He is set for a sentencing on January 24.
