A man, Camryn Davis, from South Carolina, aged 20, rescued a toddler who was wandering on a road. He spotted the child while driving home from work and immediately called 911 for help around 1 a.m., per WBTW.
The 20-year-old informed the outlet,
“At first, I didn’t know what it was… As I got closer, I realized it was a child.”
He went on to say that he noticed the youngster walking alone as he was on his way home from work. He noted the boy was walking in the direction of oncoming traffic causing him to stop the car and put his hazard lights on.
He told the station,
“Then I rolled my window down [and said], ‘Hey, where’s your parents?’”
While Davis called 911, he attempted to wave down multiple vehicles for aid. Reports say the toddler was only wearing a diaper when officials got to the scene.
The mother claimed that her child left the house after she fell asleep beside him. The toddler lives with his parents just a few blocks away from where he was discovered by Davis.
“I like to think, you know, hopefully, I made a difference in someone else’s day,”
said Davis.
