ABC’s Zohreen Shah was part of the homeowners in LA whose property was gutted by the unfortunate Palisades fires. The reporter took to Instagram to let out her emotions following the shocking loss.
Just a few days into the new year, a handful of celebrities and known faces were heartbroken. They received news or watched as their home was reduced to rubble in the Los Angeles fire. One of those who was affected was ABC’s very own—Shah. Some days ago, the LA-based reporter told her Instagram family about the devastating loss.
Zohreen Shah shared snaps of the before and after look of her now-ruined abode. The first image was heart-wrenching as it depicted the building after it was burned down. Other slides showed the home surrounded by nature including green trees, and bright lights from the sky.
The reporter was excited about the new home which was secured about a month ago. Shah had shared the excitement of being in her “magical home” with her husband, Rishi. They had plans of making it their retirement home. This was a property secured with their savings— dedication towards their work.
She grieved at the memory of losing something so valuable. In her caption, the reporter explained that it was a dream her parents couldn’t afford. Amid spending just a day in the abode, Zohreen Shah experienced California’s wildlife as deer walked into her home.
Amid the loss, the ABC correspondent admitted that she is committed to rebuilding. However, she fears that it may not be as it was before. Regardless, she is hopeful of what the future will bring as she quipped “fighting to bring it back.”
