Amy Luciani and Dwight Howard’s relationship appears to be waxing stronger daily. However, a few fans are not convinced Luciani made the right choice in light of Howard’s previous decisions. A fan also told the rapper she seemed desperate for a man. However, Luciani clapped back at the individual and told them she was happy to appear desperate for love. She also claimed that the NBA champion was an answer to her prayers.

Amy Luciani Wants to be “Picked” By Dwight Howard

Luciani recently hit back at a fan who said she seemed desperate to be “picked” by basketball star Howard. The music artist took to Instagram to respond to the naysayer and affirm their statement. She shared a clip of her and Howard talking with the caption:

“A silly human said, ‘Amy you so happy he chose you, it gives pick me.'”

Luciani then responded:

“GIRLLLLLL YASSSSS I WANTED TO BE PICKED. God pick me next for a blessing. Pick me next for a good man. Pick me next for a provider.”

She continued:

“Pick me next to be loved right. Pick me next to finally get what I give PICKKKKK MEE [shouting emoji].”

The social media influencer revealed that she always wanted the kind of love she has now.

Fans Slam Luciani And Howard’s Relationship

Amy Luciani and Dwight Howard’s relationship has been under fire since the duo made it public in December 2024. The couple had kept their relationship under wraps until Howard proposed to his fiancee close to Christmas time. Luciani wrote on Instagram at the time:

“I was enjoying you so much out of the public eye but here we are. Thank you for bringing me back to the word.”

However, there was a lot of backlash, especially as Howard’s ex, Royce Reed, exposed the athlete’s abusive behavior during that period. Many also questioned Amy Luciani and Dwight Howard’s relationship since the latter was previously sued for sexually assaulting a man. Meanwhile, his lawyers argued that the act was consensual.

Nevertheless, the unsolicited advice and concerns have not moved Luciani, who insists she made the right choice. Howard also told fans he had moved on. He said:

“Everybody in the world got a past, but guess what? When you get into a relationship with somebody, you don’t bring the past into the relationship.”

Fans React To Amy Luciani’s “Pick-Me” Post

After Onsite posted Luciani and Howard’s “pick-me” story on its Instagram page, many commented, saying the musical artist was naive. Some also opined that she would regret her decision later. A fan wrote on Onsite’s page:

“Let me book mark this for future fuckery.”

A second person commented:

“This not going to go as she thinks it is. We all learn one day.”

Another person responded:

“God please protect me from this type of foolishness.”

A fourth person said:

“Pick other platforms to cry on when ts goes left too because we don’t wanna hear it now & we damn sure not gonna wanna hear it then. (Wish you the best tho).”

Meanwhile, some felt Luciani was trying to convince herself she made the right choice. Someone said:

“It’s ok to love someone in private, you don’t have to give an update to ppl you don’t know personally daily if you’re so happy just enjoy & stop trying to prove to others YOU’RE HAPPY.”

It doesn’t seem like the public will soon accept or love Amy Luciani and Dwight Howard’s relationship. However, what matters is whether they are happy together, seeing as they are both adults.
