Ayesha Howard and Anthony Edwards keep finding more things to countersue each other for. In new texts she unveiled in her latest filing, Howard accused the NBA player of not wearing protection during sex. Her suit comes days after the Timberwolves star accused her of intentionally trapping him with a baby. He asked the Court to reject her plea for a California child support order. However, Howard’s unveiled texts put his accusations in a damning light.
Ayesha Howard Accused Anthony Edwards Of Not Using Condoms
Ayesha Howard and Anthony Edwards are still at it months after the birth of their daughter. The exes are enmeshed in a bitter legal battle over child support payments and continue to offer evidence to prove their cases. The case took a turn on May 9 when Ayesha Howard shared alleged text messages between her and Anthony Edwards. In the filing, she alleged that Edwards was irresponsible and never used protection during sex.
Howard asked a Los Angeles Superior Court to reconsider making California the state for determining child support. In her motion, she said Anthony Edwards lied about her entrapping him and shared texts to support her claim.
Per In Touch, she said, “Among the most disturbing claims in his recent filing is the assertion that I sought to become pregnant using a menstrual tracking app an everyday health tool used by millions of women. This baseless accusation is an attempt to distract from the central issue: Mr. Edwards initiated unprotected sex and unilaterally removed a condom during intercourse without my consent.”

Ayesha Howard then attached a screenshot of her texts with Anthony Edwards to support her claim. She said it was “a message I sent to him directly asking why he removed the condom…Mr. Edwards was fully aware of the risks and consequences of his actions.”
In the alleged text, Howard asked, “You don’t like condoms?” and Edwards allegedly replied, “I do but not those ones.” She responded, “Ok well just don’t be wilding slanging it everywhere. I’d be lying if I said the condom didn’t throw me off or that I didn’t want you too but I’m hoping you have some discipline with your lifestyle and all. I f**k with you so I let it happen but I was being serious when I said I don’t deal with anyone.” The Minnesota Timberwolves player allegedly said, “Ian f**k nobody raw. I gotcha.”
Ayesha Howard added that Anthony Edwards was consistent in not using protection during sex. She said, “His consistent pattern of seeking unprotected sex while evading accountability now the subject of two additional child support cases is relevant to his credibility and intent.” The 23-year-old basketball player is also fighting a lawsuit from another ex, Ally D., for child support and paternity.
Anthony Edwards Says Ayesha Howard Tried To “Game The System”
Ayesha Howard and Anthony Edwards’ back-and-forth stems from the former’s desire to have child support set in California. The exes share a daughter, Aubri Summer Howard, born in October 2024, and a DNA test has confirmed Edwards’ paternity. The Timberwolves shooting guard filed a paternity suit in Georgia, while Howard filed another in California. Anthony Edwards has claimed that he and Ayesha Howard have no business in California.
He argued that Aubri was conceived in Georgia, where he and his ex, Howard, live. A judge agreed with his arguments and struck it down the first time earlier this year. However, Ayesha Howard disagreed and claimed she moved to California before her daughter was born. She also asked the Court to review the evidence proving her case last month. Edwards replied, asking the Court to sanction Howard for her “manipulative and unjustifiable conduct.”
In the suit filed on May 6, his lawyer said, “Ayesha has failed to provide any evidence demonstrating that she pays utilities in California, rents a home in California, has signed a lease in California, or had any connection to California. Her only contacts with the state are in connection with her bad faith attempt to game the system and mislead the Court to obtain a California child support order.”
Anthony Edwards Accuses Ayesha Howard Of Extortion And Entrapment
Anthony Edwards’ attorney continued, “It is clear that the conception of the minor child was a planned-out scheme for Ayesha, who recently attached documentation demonstrating that she was tracking her ovulation around the time that she became pregnant.”
He added, “This was a clearly planned financial decision for Ayesha. The parties’ presented their arguments regarding jurisdiction as it relates to child support and the Court made findings in support of its ruling. Ayesha, unhappy with the outcome, now attempts to get a second bite at the apple. Her manipulative and unjustifiable conduct should not be condoned.”
Anthony Edwards told the Court that he accepts the paternity of his child with Ayesha Howard. However, he remains insistent on not paying higher child support, which is inevitable if a judge accepts Howard’s California claim. He has also noted that he doesn’t want child custody or visitation rights.
Ayesha Howard’s screenshots of the alleged texts between her and Anthony Edwards shed more light on the situation. Edwards has yet to respond, and it remains to be seen what the Court will decide.
