Two siblings and their mother are facing charges after a violent attack at a Little Caesars restaurant, per WSBTV. An investigation led authorities to later find firearms, drugs, and horrific living conditions at their family residence.
Sha’nayih Landers, 17, her brother Javaris Landers, 19, and their mother, Jasmine Landers, 35, were taken into custody last Friday. They are accused of the March 2 assault on a 17-year-old employee at the Centerville Highway location. According to Gwinnett County police, a group entered through a rear door, where Sha’nayih allegedly pulled the victim by her hair, punched her repeatedly, and kicked her in the head until she lost consciousness. She is also accused of stealing from the victim. Police report that Javaris is alleged to have threatened the victim with a gun. The assault was recorded on surveillance footage.
The victim was later taken to the hospital by her mother. The employee suffered from injuries that included facial swelling, a split lip, and temporary vision loss in one eye. Following the attack, detectives tracked the suspects to their home on Silver Hill Court, where they reside with their mother, Jasmine Landers, who worked at the same Little Caesars as her son.
Drugs and Firearms Recovered
Officers carried out a search warrant at the residence on Friday around 6 p.m., leading to a police response that included 15 or more patrol cars. During the search, authorities found firearms, significant quantities of fentanyl, signs of underage drinking and drug use, dog feces throughout the house, and an abused dog.
Although Jasmine Landers was not charged in connection with the restaurant assault, she is now facing separate felony charges linked to the items found in the home. Her children are facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault and other specific offenses. All three family members are currently held in jail without bond until their next court appearances.
