Diddy’s legal team has responded to Aubrey O’Day’s shade against the music mogul. They asked her to back off and consider that her former boss had not been convicted of any crimes yet. Their response came as a reaction to O’Day’s statement about Diddy after she was unveiled as the masked singer. Meanwhile, Audrey O’Day has not replied to Diddy’s legal team’s warning about the Diddy shade.

Audrey O’Day’s Diddy Shade

Aubrey O’Day recently got outed as “Ant” on The Masked Singer and did a classic Diddy shade during her reveal. The Danity Kane group member competed against Coral in her last outing and lost. After removing the “Ant” mask, O’Day thanked the audience, fans, and judges for their support and love. She then fired shots at Diddy, however, without mentioning his name.

“It’s been a hell of a year. My ex-boss- I’m a go there. He calls himself ‘Love.’ He legally titled himself that,” she began.

O’Day added, “And he uses the love heart to express that everywhere he goes,” making the heart sign as she said this.

“He’s in prison now, and I just want to say to you guys, the love heart is now here,” she concluded.

Aubrey O’Day’s Diddy shade was clear and striking because she also referenced him in her intro. She said she had dealt with a villain in what should have been her fairy tale. O’Day added that the villain was “oppressive, vain, and cruel … and to get ahead, she had to obey, be submissive, sweet and stay silent.”

Aubrey O’Day’s Diddy shade was not lost on his legal team, which quickly fired a response to the singer. They reminded her that the music mogul had only been accused of heinous crimes but not convicted yet.

“Diddy is only detained and hasn’t even gone to trial yet to present a defense–so none of Aubrey’s claims hold up, at least not yet,” a source close to Diddy told TMZ on Monday, March 3.

They warned her not to “bite the hand that feeds her,” considering Diddy brought her into the limelight. O’Day gained prominence when Diddy cast her on MTV’s Making The Band as a member of Danity Kane almost two decades ago. However, the Damaged singer has always been vocal about how Diddy treated her. She was one of the first to support Cassie Ventura when the hotel footage of Diddy assaulting her leaked. Aubrey O’Day’s participation in Tubi’s documentary, TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy, further explains the Diddy shade.

Netizens React To Aubrey O’Day’s Diddy Shade

After Onsite reported Aubrey O’Day’s Diddy shade, fans were divided about the singer’s words. While some understood that she needed to use her platform to talk about abuse, others thought she was obsessing over her former boss.

“She can only speak on him because nobody cares about anything else she has to say,” someone opined.

Another person said:

“One thing Aubrey gonna do is bring up Diddy I’m not shading what he did to her but when I see her I know she bout to bring him up some type of way.”

However, many supported her. Someone asked:

“He gave her a platform is nasty work. So giving a platform means abuse is expected?!”

A second person remarked:

“If y’all don’t know Aubrey has been at that man’s throat on Twitter since forever ago and nobody listened to her at all.”

A third person commented:

“She don’t owe that man sh-t, his team needs to hush.”

Another person said:

“She was the only one that stepped up to Diddy for his narcissistic and sexist behavior during sanity kane! Much respect 👏🏼👏🏼.”

Aubrey O’Day’s Diddy shade was no surprise, especially since she never quieted about his mistreatment of her. Hopefully, as one of the judges told her, she can heal fully and move on from the pain.
