B. Simone has a gift for getting netizens talking, and she did the same with her recent comments on Ozempic. The actress earned both the support and antagonism of the internet when she shared her experience with Ozempic and GLP-1 drugs. Simone shared that being on the drug did nothing to help with her food urges. She said she had to develop self-discipline after getting off the medication. However, her comments left netizens divided, as some argued her rhetoric was harmful.

B. Simone Comments On Ozempic Use

B. Simone stirred backlash and praise this week on the Let’s Try This Again podcast after her comments on Ozempic use. The comedian shared her experience with the insulin drug that aids weight loss and noted its limitations. Simone started by sharing how much work she has put into working on her body. She recalled one instance where she went viral after crying on TikTok about how “proud” she was of herself. She revealed that the pride stemmed from losing weight the “natural way.”

The entrepreneur disclosed the several methods she tried to lose weight, including crash diets, diet pills, and Ozempic. However, the reactions to B. Simone’s comments on Ozempic were divided even then. She said: “I talked about diet pills, I talked about Ozempic, I talked about crash diets, and people were so offended, like ‘Well some people need them.’ I said, ‘I’m not talking about for y’all I’m talking about for me. I’ve done all of that. I was on Ozempic for years, I was on Semaglutide for years.'”

Ozempic Didn’t Help B. Simone

B. Simone also revealed the struggles that made her use Ozempic and GLP-1 drugs. She got on the drug after doctors diagnosed her with PCOS in addition to her body issues. However, the actress declared that the drug “was not healthy for [her] gut.” She also noted that it didn’t address the root of her issues, namely over-eating.

“Ozempic didn’t make me change my lifestyle,” B. Simone said in her comments on the drug. “It was a band-aid. I could eat McDonald’s every day on Ozempic and still be skinny. It didn’t help me have self-control or discipline.”

She added, “It wasn’t getting to the root of the issue. The issue is you’re an overeater, the issue is you have no discipline, the issue is you have no self-control, the issue ain’t just your insulin. We like ‘Oh, I need it for my insulin.’ It’s balancing your hormones, but you still don’t have self-control, insulin or not.”

B. Simone Claims She Lacked Self-Control

Meanwhile, B. Simone pointed out that her comments on Ozempic were about her experience alone. She claimed that until she tackled the root of her problem, she looked good on the outside but not on the inside.

“For Braelyn Greenfield, not for the world, but for me, Ozempic was a band-aid that didn’t allow me to get to the root of the issue,” she said. “The root of the issue was self-control and discipline and what I am feeding my body because, for me, I could eat anything on Ozempic and still be skinny.

Simone said she could “eat pizza every day and still be skinny,” so the drug didn’t allow her to do the work required. She claimed she was satisfied with how she looked but there was no “true growth” inside. “It didn’t change any habits on the inside,” she added.

However, many people agreed with B. Simone’s comments on Ozempic.
