Boosie’s heart problem has been diagnosed, and according to the rapper, doctors discovered a left atrial enlargement. His heart issues began after an accident that left him with lingering pain in the chest. Now, the rapper says he is ready to commit to properly caring for his health. He also promised to see a specialist once he returned to Atlanta, Georgia.

Boosie BadAzz Has A Left Atrial Enlargement

Boosie BadAzz has been struggling with heart problems for a while. The 42-year-old musician shared a troubling video with fans last week, saying he was struggling to breathe. He provided an update hours ago, saying he was rushed to the hospital after experiencing some alarming symptoms. During the visit, doctors diagnosed him with left atrial enlargement. Boosie promised to take the diagnosis seriously and see a specialist for his heart problem.

“Yesterday, I got out of the hospital and went straight to the stage,” he said in the clip on Onsite’s Instagram page. “When I get back to Atlanta man, I’m gonna get right. I’m gonna get with some specialists, see what’s wrong with my heart. They said I got a left atrial enlargement in my heart. I’m just gonna get my body right. Gonna see a heart doctor.”

The Top 5 rapper also revealed that he uses a cold towel on his chest every night before sleeping. Meanwhile, this is not the only heart problem Boosie has. The Set It Off artist has been battling hypertension and diabetes for several years now.

What Is Left Atrial Enlargement?

According to the Cleveland Clinic, left atrial enlargement occurs when one of the heart chambers is enlarged abnormally. It occurs when there is too much pressure and blood in the heart. The left atrium tries to adjust to the problem, resulting in the left upper chamber stretching out and growing larger. Usually, there is an underlying heart problem like heart valve issues, high blood pressure, which Boosie has, or other cardiac problems.

Left atrial enlargement itself has no symptoms, and there is no cure. It can only be managed. However, it can lead to arrhythmia or abnormal heart rhythm. In addition to the underlying cause, this can cause symptoms such as fainting, difficulty breathing, weight gain, and heart palpitations.

Boosie Had An Accident Before Heart Problem

Prior to Boosie’s heart problem diagnosis, he had revealed that he was finding it difficult to breathe. Last week, he said he needed to see a cardiologist urgently and requested referrals. Boosie then complained about the doctors in Atlanta, who he claimed weren’t helping with his heart problem.

He said in an Instagram video, per AllHipHop, “I got chest pains, bro. I barely can breathe. Doctors say they see nothing wrong. I had five X-rays. They say they don’t see anything, I barely could breathe, bro.” He added, “They kept me in the waiting room for two and a half hours, then I left. I just left the hospital. They say they don’t know when they’ll see me next.”

The clip came days after the rapper had a ghastly car crash earlier this month in Georgia. Boosie was in the passenger seat of the BMW that crashed on April 7. The car was totaled in the multi-vehicle collision, and the others involved had to be hospitalized. Meanwhile, Boosie was unscathed and only went to the hospital to check on the BMW driver. However, he has been dealing with lingering chest pains since then.

Thankfully, Boosie’s heart problem has been diagnosed. Hopefully, the musician will see a specialist as he promised and stick to his care plan. Meanwhile, fans have been pouring out their love for him since he updated them on his health status.
