Rapper and actor Bow Wow, real name Shad Gregory Moss, has mourned the impact of Diddy’s scandal on celebrity parties. The singer claimed that parties in the entertainment scene have reduced since the music tycoon’s arrest. Bow Wow also lamented the arrest of the man he looked up to as his mentor. He noted that Diddy’s saga was unexpected and commiserated with the producer’s children.
Bow Wow Reflects on Diddy’s Scandal
Bow Wow reflected on Diddy’s scandal during his appearance on the More To The Story podcast on October 10, 2024. The rapper shared his thoughts about the celebrity party scene with host Rocsi Diaz. Bow Wow confessed that Diddy’s scandal has hugely impacted several parties in the entertainment industry. According to the actor, Diddy’s absence has also affected other normal parties. He said:
“Never. I just never thought I would see it like this.”
Bow Wow continued:
“Like, nah. Nah. He’s like the gatekeeper to the game. To the point to where… What weekend just passed? Like, BET Award weekends. Like, the past two days just didn’t feel right. ‘Cause there was no motion, there was no parties. There was nowhere to go. Like – no, the industry parties that we attend, [not the ‘freak-offs’]. Like, me, the you [the interviewer], the terraces. Once again, I’m separating it, right? I’m talking about him as the artist, the person, right?”
Bow Wow Claims Diddy Was Vital to Celebrity Parties
Bow Wow further explained how germane the disgraced mogul was to the celebrity scene. He stated that parties had ended due to Diddy’s scandal and arrest. Bow Wow added that Diddy was the “gatekeeper” of the drinks, the music, and everything party. The music producer’s absence, therefore, left a “hole” or a “dam.” Nevertheless, it was shocking that everything ground to a halt after Diddy’s arrest. Bow Wow opined:
“It shows how monumental and important he was to the culture.”
Diddy Was Bow Wow’s Motivation To “Hustle”
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift actor confessed that Diddy was his mentor. He shared how unbelievable it was for him to observe Diddy’s ordeal. He added:
“Especially when you look at somebody as somebody you studied, somebody you idolized.”
Bow Wow admitted that the record executive motivated him to work hard. He also learned how to do business from observing Diddy. He disclosed that “every young hustler looked up” to the music producer as his success encouraged them to want to be like him or surpass him.
Bow Wow revealed that Diddy made people realize they needed to step up their “hustle game.” Therefore, witnessing Diddy’s scandal and the ensuing fallout was sad. The CSI: Cyber actor also acknowledged the toll Diddy’s scandal would have taken on the rapper’s children.
