Bronx Woman Throws Gasoline On Cops and Sets Old Precinct On Fire Using Soda Bottle

Early Friday morning, a woman hurled gasoline on police and set fire to an old precinct in the Bronx using a gas-filled Coke bottle, sources and the NYPD said. 32-year-old Samantha Calderon, was seen by two officers pouring gasoline on the abandoned stationhouse on Alexander Avenue around 2:30 a.m, according to the New York Post.

The woman then set the gasoline on fire, causing a brief blaze that quickly went out, according to police. When officers approached her, Calderon got aggressive and splashed gasoline from the Coke bottle on them. She was apprehended and taken to Lincoln Hospital for a mental health check. The officers declined medical assistance, and Calderon faces charges of arson, assault, and resisting arrest.
