Police discovered a spider monkey, weed, and a stack of cash with a man suspected of DUI. The authorities intercepted the suspect and have now confiscated the items.

NY Post reported that on Monday, a man driving a luxury car was pulled over by the California police. The suspect, 27-year-old Ali Mused Adel Mohamed had been speeding in his 2022 Rolls Royce Ghost. Per the California Highway Patrol, when they looked into the vehicle, they spotted a spider monkey in a pink onesie in the front seat.

The rare animal was on its owner while he drove, and as soon as the police spotted it, they were shocked. Modera CHP rep, Sergio Moreno confirmed to North Valley News that it was indeed a rare sight. Madera County Animal Services maintained that it is illegal to own spider monkeys in the state. The authorities revealed that the primate is an endangered species.

Shortly after the exotic pet was sighted, it was taken in by the Madera Animal Shelter. Apart from finding the monkey inside the luxury vehicle, the police discovered bags filled with marijuana buds.

There were also a couple of phones and a plastic bag of money. The suspect has since been booked into the Madera County Jail on a handful of charges including possession of an exotic pet.
