Casey Anthony, one of the most hated women in America, is back in the limelight as an advocate. This week, she embraced and announced her new calling on social media. Anthony introduced herself as a member of the LGBTQ community and a voice for members and women. A friend shed light on Anthony’s new venture, saying she is doing this to resist Donald Trump’s policies. However, Anthony’s announcement was met with backlash, as many believe she is only doing this to change America’s perception of her.
Casey Anthony Rebrands Self As An Advocate
Many were shocked this week to see a post from Casey Anthony announcing herself as an advocate for LGBTQ and women’s rights.
“I am a legal advocate. I am a researcher,” she began in the video posted on March 1. “I have been in the legal field since 2011, and in this capacity, I feel that it’s necessary if I’m going to continue to operate appropriately as a legal advocate that I start to advocate for myself and also advocate for my daughter…The whole point of this is for me to begin to reintroduce myself.”
Casey Anthony said she became an advocate to fight for those facing discrimination and legal challenges. She revealed that she used to perceive her fame as a “curse” but now considers it a “blessing.” The 38-year-old researcher also disclosed that she decided to advocate for others because close friends were attacked.
“One of the main reasons that I’m doing this is there are people close to me who have been targeted and attacked recently,” she said.
Casey Anthony Asks People To Contact Her
Casey Anthony promised she was fit to be an advocate due to her legal knowledge. She also asked people to contact her on Substack for legal counsel while acknowledging that she was advertising her services. She promised to share legal resources and share more about her advocacy work on the platform. Additionally, she would build a community of supporters to shelter marginalized groups. However, Casey Anthony clarified that she would protect her privacy despite being an advocate.
She noted that she would keep many details about her life hidden. This is especially important to her, considering she gained fame for the alleged murder of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee. She also recently moved in with her married lover, who broke his 22-year-old marriage for her.
“I am proverbially standing in the light, embracing peace, still going to keep my privacy intact,” she said. “I will explain in great detail why it’s so important for people to protect their privacy.”
Why Has Casey Anthony Become An Advocate?
A friend close to Anthony explained why the researcher became an advocate for the LGBTQ community and women’s rights. They told The New York Post that President Trump’s policies motivated Anthony.
“She’s appalled,” the source said. “She wants to speak up for many people who don’t have a voice. She’s got a lot of friends in the gay community, and she wants to use their influence to help. She’s got a voice, and maybe she can stand up for other people.”
The insider added:
“She wants to fight Trump. She figures she can either be angry, or she can be a Trump-hating advocate for others. She’ll use her influence to resist.”
The influence is a reference to Anthony’s controversial acquittal of the first-degree murder of Caylee in 2011. The little girl went missing for over a month before her grandmother reported to the authorities. However, Casey Anthony was not worried and was seen clubbing and dancing on tables during this period. Caylee’s remains were found wrapped in duct tape inside a laundry bag several months later. Prosecutors charged her with murder after catching her in several lies.
Casey Anthony’s announcement that she is now an advocate has met with heavy backlash across all quarters. In the meantime, she has disabled comments on her videos to avoid getting into social media wars.
