Singer and actress Cassie Ventura is pregnant. The Connecticut native announced on Instagram that she was expecting her third. Ventura’s announcement comes over a year since she filed a lawsuit against Diddy alleging sexual assault, sex trafficking, and constructing a hostile workplace environment. However, the expectant mom has chosen to put the past behind her and focus on her family. Her husband, Alex Fine, has also shared his excitement over the new addition to his family on social media.
Cassie Ventura Shares Pregnancy News
Cassie Ventura revealed she was pregnant on February 19 with a post on Instagram. She posted the update and some black-and-white pictures of her family. The Me & U singer shares two girls, Frankie, 5, and Sunny, 3, with her husband, Fine. In the pictures, she showed off her baby bump, daughters, and husband as they all snuggled up together. Cassie Ventura captioned post #3, adding a pregnant woman emoji and a blue heart emoji, making some speculate that it was about the baby’s sex.
Alex Fine also shared the heartwarming news on his Instagram account. He posted the same professional photos as his wife, writing, “Best gift I could ask for.” Fine and Ventura made their relationship public in December 2018 and tied the knot a year later. Their relationship has strengthened since they got together, and Ventura has been vocal about her husband’s love and support.
Cassie Ventura’s Legal Battle With Diddy
Before getting pregnant with her third, Cassie Ventura had been involved in a lawsuit against Diddy. She kickstarted the wave of allegations and lawsuits that have trailed the rapper’s trials before and after his arrest in September 2024. Ventura and Diddy met in 2005 and made their relationship public in 2007. Their decade-long, on-again-off-again relationship caught many people’s attention, but the revelations after it ended shocked everyone.
Ventura said Diddy physically abused her, among many other allegations. Although the music producer disputed her claims, they settled a day after she filed the lawsuit. Diddy’s lawyer said at the time:
“Mr. Combs’ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims.”
However, nine months before Cassie Ventura announced she was pregnant, CNN released 2016 footage of Diddy assaulting her in a hotel hallway, forcing the rapper to apologize publicly.
Alex Fine Defends Cassie
Following the release of the damning video against Diddy, Alex Fine condemned the disgraced music mogul’s actions and told women he was standing in solidarity with them. Fine shared his thoughts in an open letter on Instagram, saying:
“Men who hit women aren’t men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren’t men.”
He also encouraged the public to believe women who open up about domestic violence more. Fine then addressed survivors, saying:
“To all the survivors you’re not alone, and there are men and women who care only for your wellbeing and safety. We want you to succeed and flourish,” He added, “To all the women and children, I’m sorry you live in a world where you’re not protected, and you don’t feel equal. I want to raise my daughters in a world where they are safe and loved.”
Diddy has been hit with over 40 sexual assault lawsuits and was indicted on several charges, but he has pleaded not guilty. Many have wished Cassie Ventura happiness after learning she is pregnant with her third. Hopefully, the singer and her family will continue to relish their happy moments together and create more fun memories. In the meantime, Ventura’s lawyers have not confirmed if she will take the stand against Diddy in his upcoming trials.
