Cause Of Rapper Lexii Alijai Death Revealed As Accidental Overdose

Hennepin County Medical Examiner has revealed the cause of the death of up-and-coming Minnesota rapper Lexii Alijai as an accidental overdose due to “mixed fentanyl and ethanol toxicity”.

The Minneapolis Police Department is still investigating her death. Alijai, born Alexis Alijai Lynch, died in the early morning on New Year’s Day at the Loews Minneapolis Hotel in Minneapolis, where she and her mother had been living, according to sources.

Alijai’s first full-length album, “Growing Pains,” was released in 2017 and she also featured on and co-wrote Kehlani’s 2015 single, “Jealous.”

The 21-year-old was no rookie to the music industry, as her father Roger Troutman Jr. recorded with Capitol Records in the 80’s and her grandfather, Roger Troutman, founded the legendary funk band, Zapp.
