In the last week, many public events and outings have been put on hold because of the Coronavirus. Leaving the general public with very little to do, especially since you can’t find any of the necessities when you go food shopping.
If the CDC has its way, all events with 50 people or more, including weddings, will be shut down for 8 weeks.
“Large events and mass gatherings can contribute to the spread of COVID-19 in the United States via travelers who attend these events and introduce the virus to new communities. Examples of large events and mass gatherings include conferences, festivals, parades, concerts, sporting events, weddings, and other types of assemblies. These events can be planned not only by organizations and communities but also by individuals.
Therefore, CDC, in accordance with its guidance for large events and mass gatherings, recommends that for the next 8 weeks, organizers (whether groups or individuals) cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States.”

Two months will destroy so many businesses financially. Let alone our morales. We are going to need some joy in our lives.
One thing that will bring joy to many parents is that schools and businesses are not part of the eight-week mandatory break.
At this point, it is only a recommendation. As safe as I want us all to be, I hope that this does not go in effect.
