Chad Ochocinco Johnson has said he is ready to whoop Keith Lee’s ass in the boxing ring. The former NFL star announced his readiness to take on the former MMA fighter while talking to Shannon Sharpe. Ochocinco expressed confidence in defeating his opponent in the celebrity fight and has started preparing for the potential event.

Chad Ochocinco Ready to Beat Keith Lee

Chad Ochocinco is prepared to see Keith Lee in the ring. The 46-year-old former footballer’s stance is in response to Lee’s challenge for a celebrity fight. In the latest episode of Nightcap with host Shannon Sharpe, Ocho declared his willingness to accept the battle and beat his opponent. He has been getting the moves on in a true display of his readiness. On Dec. 7, 2024, Onsite! shared a clip of Ocho in the gym practicing his moves for a boxing match. The retired NFL star looked serious as he threw blows.

“Keith Lee better stop playing with me, alright? He better stop playing with me, ’cause he ain’t gonna be doing no food critic,” he said of Lee. “He gonna be eating everything through a straw. This ain’t what you want, boy, I’m telling you now,” he concluded.

When a Nightcap guest raised the issue of Lee’s fighting background, Ocho dismissed it.

“Don’t mean he good!” he retorted. “Tell Keith Lee set that shit up, man. Boxing.”

Chad Ochocinco Wants to Beat Shannon Sharpe

Chad Ochocinco also threatened to beat Sharpe after his fight with Lee because the podcast host suggested the celebrity fight.

“After I beat his ass, then we gonna fight, too,” he said when Sharpe laughed at his intention to enter the ring with a former MMA fighter.

“I don’t care if it’s Bruce Lee, Spike Lee, Keith Lee… anybody with the last name Lee gonna get their ass whooped. Matter fact, Lee from Rush Hour, [he] finna get it too. Got me hot.”

Keith Lee is a popular food critic on TikTok and a former mixed martial artist. He was recently with Sharpe for Club Shay Shay when the latter asked him who his ideal celebrity boxing match-up was. Without hesitating, Lee mentioned Ocho’s name.

“I’mma [fight] anybody, let’s go Chad,” he said, smiling. “Come on, Ocho. [He] was talking hot, he was talking crazy! Ocho was talking on a different level, but we’ve had a conversation since.”

Chad Ochocinco Johnson Questioned Keith Lee’s Credentials

Lee further clarified that his statements were said out of love. Keith Lee’s “love” statement referenced Chad Ochocinco questioning his credentials as a food critic earlier this year. He revealed that they were both on friendly terms already. Lee added that he comes “from a place of love,” noting that the retired NFL star meant “no harm.” He then quipped,

“If you want to put the gloves on, we can put the gloves on. I ain’t gonna lie, I’d whoop Chad’s ass.”

Chad Ochocinco and Keith Lee’s friendly banter is lovely to see. Meanwhile, fans are excited about the potential match, which many have predicted Lee will mean because of his history as an MMA fighter. It remains to be seen whether they will be right.
