Former Delta Airline passenger says his fellow passengers aimed at him following a lavatory incident on board. In his new lawsuit served against the airline, he blames the carrier for negligence. 31-year-old Usman Bilawal is going up against Delta Airline two years after boarding their plane. Per Independent News, the complaint claimed he was beaten to a pulp by three other passengers. In his suit, these assailants boldly threatened him on the aircraft. Then they proceeded to live out their threat.

Bathroom Brawl on Delta Airline Flight: Passenger Says He Was Brutally Beaten

On September 6, 2022, during a trip from Atlanta to Newark, a passenger caused a scene. As the aircraft was taxiing, the person made their way to the lavatory. But this journey was halted when a hostess directed him to his seat. Despite returning to sit down, the passenger cussed out other passengers who supported the female flight attendant.

Throughout the fellow’s exchange, Bilawal was oblivious to the situation. However, in time he caught up with the episode as he looked around. Somehow the enraged passenger felt threatened with the stare. Allegedly, this same person threatened to deal with Bilawal once they alighted. Keeping true to his words, the former travel companion and two of his bodies beat up the complaint.

First, they attacked him at the terminal and later at the food court where they stole his phone. The 31-year-old claimed he suffered physical damage, emotional turmoil, and property loss. The injuries sustained from the hits and kicks left him with a permanent fear of people standing behind him. As an Uber driver, it became impossible to work.

For Bilawal, Delta Airlines’ complacency cost him. He confirmed that they were aware of the threat while on board and they alerted the cops upon deplaning. However, the police failed to show up— not until after the deed had been done. Eventually, the accused offenders were apprehended by the Airport Police. The prosecutor is suing the airline for negligence and negligent infliction of emotional distress. The last two charges include breach of the covenant of good faith and breach of contract.

Following the lawsuit signed October 3 in Newark federal court over the lavatory incident, Delta Airlines dissociated from the episode. They maintained that the victim caused his attack and that they never showed negligence as stated. Instead, the carrier reserves the right to seek reimbursement for legal costs. To the company, his claims are baseless and frivolous.
