After years of trying to help his sister Ann, Sam Altman was slapped with hefty accusations. However, the Open AI CEO says that his sister’s allegations of rape, and physical abuse during childhood never happened.
Ann Altman, 30, moved a motion in court claiming that the AI guru caused her to suffer during childhood. Ann maintained that between 1997 to 2006, as a 3-year-old, her brother groomed and manipulated her. This included different abuses from rape to sexual assault and molestation.
Allegedly, these left physical and emotional injuries that had since metamorphosed into something worse. Due to the never-disappearing scars, Ann revealed she had suffered from emotional imbalance and depression. Additionally, she is seeking $150,000 in damages.
This weighty lawsuit came as a shock to Sam who vehemently denied any wrongdoings. The CEO alongside other relatives—mom and two brothers calls Ann’s accusations false. In a joint statement, they tagged it “utterly untrue.”
According to The Tribune, in the same statement, the Altmans all expressed their concern for Ann who they believed struggled with her mental health. Amid vehemently denying the accusations, they confessed to having stood solidly behind her to work through her issues.
At the same time, Sam Altman is committed to helping his only sister. The ChatGPT owner has also teamed up with professionals for advice on how to handle the situation. He cares deeply for his sister and wants to help her. Until now, neither of the parties have made further comments on the case.
