Chloe Bailey Admits She Took Life ‘Too Seriously’ When She Was Younger

Chloe Bailey is prepared to have fun and pursue her goals this year. The 26-year-old singer disclosed this in an interview, revealing that she spent her younger years being too serious. She added that she is inspired to pour her energy into new projects in 2025 and explore some innovative ideas in her music. Meanwhile, Chloe teased about an upcoming project with her sister, Halle.

Chloe Bailey Regrets Being Too Serious In Younger Days

Chloe Bailey believes she didn’t fully utilize her younger days when it came to having fun. The singer had an interview with PEOPLE at the end of 2024, during which she divulged this.

“I’m 26, next year I’ll be 27, but I still feel like I am 18 internally,” she explained. “And I feel like the younger part of my years, I took life so seriously, and now I’m at a time when I really want to focus on my happiness while I work really hard towards my goals.”

 Regarding her career goals, Chloe shared what she has planned for 2025.

“I’ve been more inspired than ever,” she said. “I have a lot of exciting things coming up, so I’m just giving my all into those.” The Grown-ish actress added that she is “really excited to dive more into [her] producer bag again.”

She shared details about this, telling the outlet:

“In terms of production and drums and synths, it’s like my mind has opened up to a whole new world [after] experiencing different cultures and things like that. “So I’m really excited about getting back into my producer bag pretty deep.”

Chloe Bailey’s desire to loosen up and have fun while working at what she loves to do comes at a time when she can afford it. Meanwhile, the singer has not always lived a fun-deprived life. 2024 provided some great moments for her, such as traveling the world, including Nigeria, and releasing her second album, Trouble in Paradise. Additionally, watching her nephew, Halle’s baby, Halo, whom she shares with rapper DDG, grow was another delightful moment for her.

The Chlöe: Have Mercy star claimed Halo helped her enter her “rich auntie era.” she also credited Halo with helping her loosen up.

“I definitely feel like I’m allowing myself to feel more of a boss and not take everything so seriously, and I have to give credit to him,” Chloe explained.

She told PEOPLE of her 2024 experiences:

“Those are my happiest moments of this year,” she tells PEOPLE. “I feel like any moments that allow me to grow as a human being and expand my mind have been the most memorable.”
