Since Chloe Bailey took a trip to Nigeria and back, fans have wondered if she and Burna Boy are romantically involved. The singer went to the most populous African country for the popular Lagos “Detty December.” Several clips showed her having a good time with Burna during her visit. Chlöe was on The Breakfast Club show on Wednesday. One of the hosts asked her for details about her relationship with the Afrobeats singer there. However, Chlöe expertly maneuvered around the questions.

Chloe Bailey Ignores Questions About Burna Boy Love Rumors

Chloe Bailey may have left Nigeria, but the experience will remain with her for some time. Her outings raised questions about whether she is romantically entangled with another singer, as several clips showed Chloe Bailey and Burna Boy having fun together. The two seemed cozy and intimate in some of the footage, leading fans to believe there might be a possible love story between the musical duo. Meanwhile, as fans continued to speculate, hosts of The Breakfast Club were also curious about the truth.

The singer joined  Scott Mills and Derrick Johnson in the studio on Wednesday, January 8, for an interview about the upcoming NAACP Image Awards. During the interaction, guest host Loren LaRosa asked if Chlöe would bring a date to the February 22 event. Chlöe replied, “My god mom and my manager.” LaRosa pressed on about Burna Boy, but the Praise This actress responded, “You’ll have to ask him.” When her host replied, “You’re here, he’s not,” Chlöe answered: “Oh oh,” before bursting into laughter.

Chloe Shares Her Experience In Nigeria

LaRosa was not ready to give up on Chloe Bailey and Burna Boy and fired another response.

“He’s not nominated now. He’s not nominated, but you look through your sheet he not on there. Chloe’s on there,” she said before talking about footage of the two across the internet.

The guest host then asked if the rumors about the two were true. However, Chlöe steered the conversation toward her experience in Nigeria, talking about the food and nightlife.

“Nigeria was so beautiful. I had the best time,” she said. “I had some good food. I had pepper soup. I had lots of spicy chicken. I really had a great time.”

Sensing LaRosa’s hesitation at being direct, Charlamagne Tha God interjected and asked his co-host what her real question was.

“We want to know, is that your boo?” she asked directly this time.

However, the singer answered:

“Well, I’m a grown woman. I had a great time in Nigeria.”

The singer added in response to LaRosa’s comments about Burna Boy’s random woman:

“He’s a grown man, just like I’m a grown woman.”

Chloe Bailey Not Angry Over Burna Boy Questions

Contrary to what many expected, Chloe Bailey told her hosts she was okay with getting questions about her and Burna Boy. She said she understood the natural curiosity about her love life, especially with her celebrity status.

“Honestly, I don’t mind. I hate to say this, but it’s my life. It’s what I signed up for,” she said. “I don’t think it should ever be pissiness toward the people that ask me.”

In the meantime, there is speculation that Chloe Bailey will host the 2025 NAACP Image Awards. Her song Boy Bye has also been nominated for Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album award.

Neither Chloe Bailey nor Burna Boy has confirmed a romance. Nevertheless, as the singer-songwriter pointed out, both are grown people capable of managing their lives.
