Comedian Loni Love doesn’t think it’s a laughing matter after Tyler Perry’s newest movie got a 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The former The Real cohost took to social media to criticize Perry and his new film, “Divorce In The Black,” and for always writing his own movies. She contends that maybe Perry needs to hire some help.

“I love that Tyler is paying Black actors now I wish he would hire Black writers and directors with experience to help him with his movies… He could improve the movies & make them award-worthy if he would stop trying to save money by doing the writing and directing himself,” Love said. 

Perry’s new movie has received mixed reviews across social media with some supporting the Meagan Good-helmed film which also stars Corey Hardrict. While some say the movie was good with twists and turns that kept them on the edge of their seats, others tore the movie up.

Perry’s other recent project, “Mea Culpa” received a 17% critic score and 37% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, according to reports.
