‘Day 26’ Member Que has revealed that working with Diddy traumatized him greatly. He divulged his need for therapy amid the toll his work had on his mental health. His band members also shared their experience with the music mogul, revealing that he still has publishing rights to their work. However, Que, who has been working on himself, called for prayers and therapy for Diddy as the only way to help him get over his situation.
‘Day 26’ Member Que Reveals Diddy Trauma
‘Day 26’ member Que was with his group members at The Breakfast Club to talk about their new album, Day Ones, the formation of their band, and their relationship with Diddy when he hinted at the trauma he experienced from Diddy. Que revealed that working with the music producer took a toll on his mental wellness, and he needed long-term therapy to break free from the mess.
Although he refused to share explicit details, Que disclosed how hearing Diddy’s name used to trigger him. He said:
“To be honest, it used to, and my documents that I have for my mental health, I have his name mentioned in there, but it used to traumatize me a lot to where everybody thought something was really wrong with me and stuff. I just don’t blame him. I blame people around him, too, cuz they ain’t innocent either, so it’s a lot.”
‘Day 26’ Member Que Calls For Prayers For Diddy
While discussing his experience with Diddy alongside his other ‘Day 26’ members, Que also hoped for Diddy’s repentance. When DJ Envy asked if Diddy’s present troubles were karma for his actions, Que replied that the mogul needed prayer and therapy to heal.
“I just want to be very transparent with y’all, like I’ve been through so much trauma with this guy,” he began before adding, “I just want to say I think he needs a lot of prayer and he needs mental health.”
He continued:
“I think that’s what’s going to save him or help him. Nothing else.”
Que also advocated for Diddy and asked the public not to mock him, especially given the revelations in the documentary that exposed his dysfunctional childhood. He told his hosts:
“I don’t think we should talk about him. I don’t think we should make fun of him. It’s like real s***.”
Charlemagne Tha God agreed with him but explained that talking helps to get to the root of many abuse cases.
“Hurt people hurt people,” he explained.
Diddy Still Holding On To ‘Day 26’ Rights
Other members of ‘Day 26,’ Mike, Brian, Willie, and Robert, alongside Que, shared their experience with the incarcerated rapper. Although Robert confessed that he had never witnessed or experienced most of what Diddy was accused of, the team agreed that things could have been better with the music producer. The group members, who are preparing for their series of performances at SOBs in New York, disclosed that they haven’t received financial compensation despite selling millions of records.
They further revealed that Diddy never gave them publishing rights, contrary to his public announcement. They added that their publishing rights are under the names of Diddy’s children. Moreover, the group suffered several losses, with multiple juicy deals falling through after they left Diddy. They also claimed their work ethic and passion for music was responsible for their success rather than Diddy’s contributions.
