DDG and Joe Budden have been trending for the last few days for the wrong reasons. Over the weekend, the pair sparked a controversy after a heated online interaction. The drama began after the media personality shared his thoughts on DDG’s split from Halle Bailey. The couple’s romance ended recently, a few months after they welcomed their first child. Budden heavily criticized DDG, prompting the rapper to respond publicly.

Inside the DDG and Joe Budden Drama

Budden has let the world know his thoughts about DDG. Unfortunately, the presenter isn’t a huge fan of the rapper. Budden made this clear recently when he took time out to comment on DDG and Halle Bailey’s breakup. During the latest episode of The Joe Budden podcast, the host bashed DDG. He said:

“Who the f**k is DDG, and why am I supposed to care about his thoughts on anything.”

Budden continued, noting that he was happy about the breakup. The podcaster revealed he was tired of seeing DDG’s name attached to Bailey’s when he didn’t know the rapper from nothing as a standalone. Budden shared:

“And for me, it’s important to know people based on their name, merit, and what they have done.”

He further explained that DDG struck him as a clout chaser, as the 26-year-old’s name was always attached to his ex-girlfriend’s for relevance. This made him look at DDG in another way.

DDG didn’t stay quiet about Budden’s remarks. Taking to X, the YouTuber threw some shade at the former Slaughterhouse rapper. DDG dissed Budden’s career accomplishments and dragged him for his age. DDG and Halle Bailey Split

The DDG and Joe Budden drama came a few days after the rapper and his ex-girlfriend parted ways. DDG announced the shocking news in a social media post on Thursday. Before then, the couple had been dating since January 2022 and welcomed a son in late 2023. Taking to his Instagram story, DDG revealed they made the difficult decision after much reflection and heartfelt conversations. He wrote:

“After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways.”

He further explained that while the decision was hard, it was the best path forward for them. DDG noted that the time they spent together and the love they shared meant a lot to him. He also told the world that he and Bailey still adored each other and remained best friends. The young star clarified that he and the singer would focus on themselves in addition to their roles as co-parents. DDG asked fans for their understanding and support at the end of his statement. Afterward, he thanked them for their love and encouragement. Meanwhile, fans eagerly await hearing from Bailey about her breakup.
