DDG Wants A Better Co-Parenting Situation With Halle Bailey
DDg shared his thoughts about him and Halle Bailey co-parenting in a recent livestream. The rapper was discussing with a friend when they broached the topic of exes and co-parenting. DDG claimed that he hoped for a better relationship with his ex-partner sometime in the future. The streamer’s friend, Wendy Ortiz, a YouTuber, shared her co-parenting experience and how long it took her to adjust.
Ortiz said it took her a year and a half to establish a healthy and amicable relationship with her co-parent. And it only happened after they crossed the reconciliation attempt and “hating each other” phases. DDG agreed and replied that he wanted that with Bailey so they could improve their co-parenting situation.
“Yeah, I’m trying to get to that point,” he said, adding, “[Where] it’s, like, cool, you know what I mean? You said it takes like a year? Maybe one day.”
DDG And Bailey’s Situation
DDG and Halle Bailey’s co-parenting has faced increased scrutiny since their breakup. The streamer has sparked public debates with his statements about Bailey’s actions. While he hopes his and Halle Bailey’s co-parenting situation improves, DDG has always been quick to accuse her online. The Motion rapper repeatedly claimed that Bailey keeps their son, Halo, away from him. He also released a song, Don’t Take My Son, directed at Bailey. All these have led to severe backlash against the actress from his fans.
The former couple went public with their relationship in mid-2022 and were together for three years. They welcomed their son in December 2023 and split less than a year later. Six months later, DDG accused Halle Bailey of not cooperating with him to build an amicable co-parenting relationship. He accused her of denying him access to Halo in a YouTube livestream. DDG claimed he only made the issue public because it was “literally my last resort.”
“I don’t like putting y’all in my business, but I don’t know what else to do. But I know the internet moves people,” he said. “I just want to see my son, that’s it. I love being a dad and I want to be a dad, plain and simple.” He added that he does not want to take legal action against Bailey. “It’s going to get extremely messy, and it don’t have to happen. I think it’s in her best interest to not want to go to court either, where we can just have a clear understanding.”
It doesn’t seem that DDG and Halle Bailey’s co-parenting situation will improve as long as he keeps attacking her online. However, time may work in their favor and help them establish an amicable relationship.
