There is now a new update on Diddy’s criminal case. Marc Agnifilo, the disgraced star’s attorney says that his client is ready to talk. Just days after getting hit with a series of indictment charges, the rapper was immediately placed on a suicide watch. This left many worried about whether Diddy was suicidal. However, Agnifilo clarified that the accused is fine, and now, he is set to testify.

Diddy’s Arrest Over Criminal Case

Just last week, the rapper was led out of the Park Hyatt hotel lobby in Manhattan. Law enforcement had been waiting for him while he strolled in with company including his sons. Hours later the rapper appeared in court but was denied bail. Following the proceedings, a rather confident Agnifilo assured the public that his client was innocent. According to him, they were ready to fight the accusations to the end.

However, during the second court appearance, Diddy was denied bail. Note that the rapper put down an overwhelming proposal to free himself off the cuffs. While he did not deny that the investigations should continue, Diddy promised to be under house arrest. He also pledged a $50 million bail bond, his Miami mansion, his mom’s home, and children’s passports.

Diddy’s Criminal Case

The horrors all began late last year when his former lover Cassie Ventura slammed him with a lawsuit. She cited sexual assault, rape, and added that Diddy drugged her and had her sleep with male prostitutes. Unknown to fans, this was only the beginning. Over six other women slammed the rapper with a lawsuit — all citing sexual assaults and violence. But in February 2024, one man changed the tone of the game. Music producer Lil Rod slammed the 54-year-old with a suit accusing him of hosting freak-offs.

According to Lil Rod, these freak-offs were Diddy’s famous parties often attended by high-profile individuals. He revealed that politicians, music execs, international dignitaries, and sports stars usually enjoyed the experience. Lil Rod’s lawsuit noted that underage girls were hired, and drugged to be compliant. In his suit, it was also a known fact that Diddy loved to sleep with men.

He accused the rapper of sexual assault, sex trafficking, and other criminal crimes. Six months later Diddy is arrested with three charges brought against him. In the indictment charges read by U.S. Attorney of the Southern District of New York, Damian Willams, the rapper worked with a group. Together they committed crimes of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

What Diddy’s Lawyer Says About His Criminal Case

Agnifilo is still hopeful and in an attempt to prove that his client isn’t as guilty as charged, Diddy will defend himself. According to the attorney, the accused will take to the witness stand to tell things as they were from his end. Sources say that this is a risky move as the music mogul will surely be drilled by the prosecution. But at this same time, the defense believes it is the best move to clear himself. Agnifilo established that it is a story of love, hurt, and heartbreak. This will all be chronicled on TMZ’s Diddy-themed docuseries named “The Downfall Of Diddy: The Indictment.”

Final Note

Fans and critics alike are fixed on the outcome of Diddy’s criminal case. But whatever his defense, the prosecution has proven to an extent that Diddy was violent. They have shown picture proof, and exchanged texts —and fans saw the Cassie-beating footage released months ago. So whatever his story, it better be a darn good defense to get him out of the woods.
