On Wednesday, May 28, prosecutors invited another witness to testify against Diddy in his ongoing sex trafficking trial. The witness, a Los Angeles Police Department officer identified as Chris Ignacio, had responded to Kid Cudi’s home break-in. Ignacio said he saw a black SUV registered to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ company when he got close to Cudi’s house. Kid Cudi, real name Scott Mescudi, and Diddy’s conflict is an integral part of the racketeering case against the latter.
LAPD Officer Testifies To Seeing Diddy’s SUV At Kid Cudi’s Home

Los Angeles investigators were part of the prosecution’s witnesses in Diddy’s racketeering trial on Wednesday. One of the officers, LAPD officer Chris Ignacio, recalled the events that connected him to Diddy and Kid Cudi’s conflict. Onsite!’s correspondent reported that Ignacio had been with the LAPD for 16 years. He was one of those who responded to the break-in at Cudi’s home. He stated that he and his partner responded to a call regarding a possible burglary at the singer’s home on December 22, 2011.
Ignacio recalled seeing a black Cadillac SUV leaving when they pulled up to the house located in the Hollywood Hills. The car had been parked in front of the house, but it immediately took off when he arrived. He said he didn’t chase or stop the vehicle; rather, he memorized the number and ran a check. He discovered that the car he saw at Kid Cudi’s house was registered to Diddy’s Bad Boy company. Ignacio showed the jury the DMV report, which listed the registered owner as Bad Boy Productions, Inc.
LAPD officer Said Nothing Was Missing From Kid Cudi’s Home
Chris Ignacio said that when he entered Kid Cudi’s home, he saw expensive jewelry and purses. However, nothing seemed to be missing, and the house appeared undisturbed. He further testified that he saw a table filled with Christmas gifts. During his testimony, Kid Cudi told the court that Diddy opened the Christmas presents he had gotten for his family. He added that the mogul locked up his dog in the bathroom.
Chris Ignacio said he recorded the incident as trespassing, not burglary. He said Kid Cudi didn’t report any missing items either. Under cross-examination, the LAPD officer stated that he received no report of a firearm. This was a reference to the testimony of Diddy’s former assistant, Capricorn Clark, who said Diddy kidnapped her at gunpoint. She told the court he told her he would kill Kid Cudi while holding a gun. However, Chris Ignacio said he received no reports of a kidnapping or threat to life.
Shortly after Ignacio’s testimony about seeing Diddy’s SUV at Kid Cudi’s house, prosecutors introduced another star witness. Lance Jimenez, an arson investigator from the Los Angeles Fire Department, reported to Cudi’s house on January 9, 2012. He and his partner went there after receiving a call about Cudi’s Porsche being set on fire.
Diddy’s racketeering trial continues to build up daily, and many await his verdict with bated breath. It remains to be seen what the jury’s verdict will be at the end of the trial.
