George Kaplan was in court on Thursday to testify in Diddy’s trial. The former executive assistant said he resigned because of his former boss’ violent behavior. Kaplan narrated how Diddy allegedly attacked his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, several times with no one stepping in to intervene. One of these incidents happened on a private jet, and Cassie cried out for help to no avail.

Diddy’s Former Assistant Testifies At His Trial

Diddy’s former executive assistant, George Kaplan, was in court this week to share his experience working for the record producer. He joined the list of those who have testified about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ abusive behavior, particularly toward Cassie. Kaplan said he resigned not long after he began working for Diddy because the latter attacked Cassie and another woman. He said the Bad Boy Entertainment founder often abused Cassie and recounted several instances where this happened.

In one instance, in the second half of 2015, Diddy, Cassie, and several others were on a private jet headed for Las Vegas. Per Onsite!, Kaplan said he heard a scream and a glass break during the flight. When he looked, the music executive stood over Cassie, who lay on the ground. Cassie cried out for help, and one of the things he recalled her saying was, “Is anybody seeing this?” Kaplan testified during the trial that none of Diddy’s staff, including the security and himself, did anything. He noted that he felt terrible because of the incident.

In another instance, George Kaplan told the court that he saw a bruise on Cassie’s eye. His former boss then asked him to pick up some drugs, including witch-hazel cream and other anti-swelling agents. During his testimony at Diddy’s trial, Kaplan said Diddy’s behavior made him uncomfortable. He also felt out of place, especially as he was responsible for covering up the evidence of Diddy’s abusive behavior. Kaplan resigned after witnessing those incidents, which was a breaking point for him.

Other Witnesses Testify About Cassie’s Beatings

George Kaplan is not the first person to testify to witnessing Diddy physically assault Cassie during Diddy’s trial. Cassie’s former best friend, Kerry Morgan, testified that she saw Diddy beating her friend up twice. She said the first assault took place in Jamaica and the other one in Los Angeles. Morgan claimed that the record producer dragged Cassie by her hair. She said Diddy also assaulted her in Cassie’s home, which led to the demise of her and Cassie’s friendship.

Dawn Richard also testified at Diddy’s trial and narrated how she witnessed Cassie being assaulted numerous times. Richard was a member of the rapper’s girl group, Dainty Kane. She said Diddy often violently assaulted his ex-girlfriend, who would then wear makeup and sunglasses to hide her wounds. Another of Diddy’s former assistants, David James, affirmed that Cassie felt trapped. While testifying during Diddy’s trial, he said Cassie once confided in him about why she couldn’t leave Diddy.

Per Onsite!, she told him, Diddy “controls my life, my music, he pays for my apartment.” James added that he once heard Diddy call Cassie “young and moldable” and had her where he wanted her.

Diddy’s trial is getting more interesting by the day. There are still about six weeks to go, and Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
