According to his lawyers, Diddy’s freak off videos might unearth new evidence. Consequently, they have requested the videos to prove his case. The embattled media mogul’s legal team recently claimed that his prosecution is completely a witch hunt against their client and that he is innocent of the charges brought against him. Diddy’s lawyers also argued that his encounters were consensual as opposed to the charges filed against him.
Diddy’s Lawyers Ask For Freak Off Videos
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team is arguing his innocence. Diddy’s defense team submitted a new court filing based on the contents of nine freak off videos. They claimed his actions with everyone in the freak off videos were consensual and accused the prosecution of being “sexist” and “puritanical.” The court filing reads:
“The nine videos at issue are the so-called “Freak Off” tapes with Victim-1 that the government has repeatedly referenced, causing wild speculation in the media.”
The document continued:
“Contrary to what the government has led this Court and the public to believe, the so-called “Freak Offs” were private sexual activity between fully consenting adults in a long-term relationship… These recordings also directly refute the allegations that Mr. Combs kept these videos as “collateral.”
The rap mogul’s legal team also asked the government to release copies of the freak off videos, claiming they would help prove his innocence.
Diddy’s Defense Team Accuses Cassie of Hoarding Freak Off Videos
Diddy’s legal team also pointed out that in addition to the sexual activities being consensual, the music producer didn’t have them. They noted that the videos were with Cassie rather than Diddy.
“These recordings were not on Mr. Combs’ devices and were not seized from his homes. Rather, Victim-1 kept these videos on her own device for years and produced them to the government herself,” the filing also stated.
Additionally, it stated that there were no “Secret cameras, no orgies, no other celebrities involved, no underground tunnels, no minors, and not so much as a hint of coercion or violence. Far from the government’s lurid descriptions, the videos show adults having consensual sex, plain and simple.”
Meanwhile, prosecutors have indicted Diddy for forcing male sex workers, women, and his ex-girlfriend to participate in sexual activities while under the influence of drugs. He allegedly filmed the sexual performances.
Diddy’s Upcoming Trial
Diddy’s first trial is scheduled to begin on May 5. He is facing federal charges for sex trafficking, trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Additionally, over 24 people have accused him of sexual assault, rape and sexual exploitation. However, the music mogul denied them all and pleaded not guilty. His legal team has called the accusations “defamatory” and “false.”
Diddy’s biggest controversy is the freak off videos obtained by the government. Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson told the court that authorities seized 96 electronic devices during the raids on his Miami and Los Angeles homes and an undisclosed private airport in Florida. They also seized four more devices upon his arrest in September 2024. Meanwhile, the rapper is currently incarcerated in a Brooklyn jail after Judge Arun Subramanian denied him bail so he wouldn’t tamper with witnesses.
Diddy’s freak off videos, which have been his undoing, might save him if his lawyers can prove their case. However, they also need to account for drug use, which may hamper their defense. Meanwhile, the public is watching to see what will come out of one of the most anticipated trials in history.
