It looks like Rick Ross is dealing with a legal issue after a man filed a lawsuit, alleging that the rapper failed to make his car show accessible for people with disabilities, according to TMZ.
Darris Straughter is suing Ross, claiming that despite being promised a wheelchair-accessible shuttle to the car show at his property, it never arrived, preventing him from attending. Straughter claimed that he was assured on multiple occasions that he would be transported by a wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus.
Straughter says he spent funds on travel, lodging, and a ticket for Rick Ross’ Car & Bike Show, even selling his car. He says he informed the venue two weeks before the event about his need for wheelchair access. He noted that the show coordinators said they’d arrange for a shuttle to transport him from the parking lot to the event. However, he waited multiple hours and it didn’t come. Frustrated with the situation, he decided to give away his ticket and return to his hotel instead.
Darris and his lawyer, John Hoover, claim organizers promised refunds for those who couldn’t enter the event, but he never received a follow-up. He’s suing for breach of contract and ADA violations.
