A 27-year-old woman in Canton, Ohio has her community clutching its pearls after she reportedly killed a cat by violently stomping on its head before devouring the remains.
Allexis Telia Ferrell has been charged with injuring animals, violating prohibitions concerning companion animals, and disorderly conduct, WLBT reports.
The disturbed woman reportedly did the gruesome deed on August 16, and on Monday she was arraigned in court with a $100,000 bond.
However, some in the community believe her mental health should be properly addressed before criminalizing her.
Ferrell’s next court date is August 26.
