Dr. Dre is facing legal troubles after his former psychiatrist, Dr. Charles Sophy, filed for a temporary restraining order against him.

The psychiatrist claims Dre has been harassing and threatening him over a period of 18 months, reportedly sending hostile text messages, including degrading insults, per TMZ.

Dr. Sophy, who had been Dr. Dre’s marriage counselor during his divorce from Nicole Young, claims the situation escalated after Dre accused him of professional misconduct, including trying to turn Dre’s son against him during the divorce proceedings.

Sophy’s restraining order requests that Dre stay at least 100 yards away from him and his 22-year-old son, and cease all forms of contact. In addition, Sophy has also filed a $10 million harassment lawsuit against the music mogul.

Dre denies the accusations, claiming that Sophy acted improperly during the divorce and that his malpractice caused irreparable harm to his relationship with his son. Dre has also filed a complaint with the Osteopathic Medical Board of California, seeking to revoke Sophy’s medical license.

The court granted a temporary restraining order.
