Dr. Umar has countered the abuse allegations his daughter, Anisa, made against him. He stated that he never abused any woman, his first baby mama included. He also claimed that Anisa’s mom lied to her about the assault. The activist alleged that a police report that proves his claims exists and added that his baby mama separated him from his daughter. Dr. Umar’s defense comes a few days after his first daughter accused him of physical abuse against her mother.
Dr. Umar Denies Abuse Allegations
Dr. Umar has spoken out about Anisa’s abuse allegations. He reacted to his daughter’s claims in a statement on his social media. Dr. Umar noted that it took him a while to be aware of his daughter’s abuse allegations against him. He said he was in Sweden, which prompted his late response and denied ever abusing anyone. Dr. Umar alleged that his daughter brought abuse allegations against him because her mother poisoned her mind. He claimed that this happened because he refused to marry her.
The activist also shared details of his daughter’s upbringing and the events that led to her misconceptions. He disclosed that there was once a threat against Anisa and her mom when the former was a baby. The activist found out it was from the lover of his baby mama, whom he referred to as Mama Smurf in his statement. He had gone to visit his daughter at her mother’s apartment when he saw her car windows had been broken.
Dr. Umar Claimed His Baby Mama Tried To Blackmail Him Into Marriage
Dr. Umar said he discovered a note threatening to kill the mother and daughter for undisclosed reasons.
“Although I can’t remember everything he had to say, I do remember that threat and the very aggressive tone of his letter. He didn’t mention why he had chosen to vandalize her car nor why he was threatening their lives,” he wrote in his statement.
The psychologist said he showed Mama Smurf the note and called the Philadelphia Police Department. He alleged that the move saved his career later.
“I asked the officer if he thought I should purchase a gun for self-defense should he return, and he said yes, so I went to the gun shop and obtained my first firearm. Mama Smurf and I decided it would be best if I stayed at her home for the week in case her lover came by looking to keep good on his promise,” he recounted.
Dr. Umar said as a lead-up to abuse allegations that would soon come, he and his baby mama argued. The quarrel was about Anisa’s custody. Mama Smurf insisted she would keep Dr. Umar and his daughter separated if he didn’t marry her.
“This would be an ongoing theme as she had promised me sometime during her third trimester that “You Will Be With Both Of Us Or Neither One Of Us!” Twenty-two years later, and we can see that she has largely kept her promise,” he wrote.
Dr. Umar Claims Baby Mama And Her Family Lied Against Him
Dr. Umar revealed that he first faced abuse allegations during those years before Anisa brought them up again. He said after asking for custody of his daughter, Mama Smurf filed a case against him in court. She and her mother (Grandma Smurf):
“filed for a restraining order claiming that I had purchased my firearm to terrorize and harm Mama Smurf and not to protect my daughter from her estranged lover. They also wanted to press charges against me for the said offense. This was all a scheme to prevent me from gaining primary physical custody of our child,” he claimed.
The Pan-Africanist said Mama presented “twelve Polaroid photos” showing her bruised body in court and claimed that he abused her. Upon close examination, he discovered that they were makeup blotches. Meanwhile, Mama Smurf and Grandma Smurf claimed he bought a gun to threaten and harm them as opposed to protecting them. They didn’t mention the letter, broken windows, or police report.
Dr. Umar Said Police Report Saved Him
Dr. Umar said he was shocked that his baby mama made up abuse allegations to keep him away from Anisa. He claimed that the police report he filed saved him and his career. After alerting the judge to the fake injuries in Mama Smurf’s photos, he also gave the police report reference number. He said:
“[It] proved the officer had recommended that I obtain a firearm for the defense of my child and her mother. This evidence, along with the fake body injury photos, was enough for the judge to dismiss the case. That day changed everything for me.”
Dr. Umar also challenged his daughter to prove her abuse allegations. He asked for a “police report, arrest record or order of restraint.” He added that his baby mama has been lying to Anisa her whole life because he didn’t marry her.
“That is the whole truth, all of the truth, and nothing but the truth,” he concluded.
Dr. Umar’s revelations regarding the abuse allegations against him are unsettling. If true, he and his daughter have missed a lot from being apart. However, as many fans have pointed out, the activist did not live up to his words by fighting for his daughter.
