Woman Accuses Dr. Umar Johnson Of Being A Deadbeat Dad
Many were astounded recently when a woman accused popular activist Dr. Umar Johnson of being a deadbeat dad this week. The 22-year-old Nisa expressed her displeasure on a TikTok Live on March 7. She said a DNA test proved the Pan-Africanist was her parent, but he never stepped up. Not only was his name not on her birth certificate, he also missed every important moment in her life.
“I’m 22 years old now. My dad has never been to anything important- no graduation, no birthday parties. Nothing,” Nisa alleged. “He has not been in my life. Again, I am not making this video to bash him. I am making this video to state facts.”
The 22-year-old streamer clarified that she was calling him out only because he refused to let her meet her half-sister. The sisters have never met, and Nisa wanted to bond with her sister and guide her through life. She called Dr. Umar Johnson, a deadbeat dad who ignored her requests and went silent on her. She also clarified that she wasn’t trying to build a relationship with the motivational speaker. Rather, she wanted a conversation with him.
Dr. Umar Johnson Responds To Deadbeat Dad Accusation
Dr. Umar responded to his daughter’s claims and denied being a deadbeat dad. According to Onsite, the community builder said he would only talk to his daughter in her mother’s presence. In a social media post, Dr. Umar Johnson insinuated that Nisa’s mother is to blame if she thinks he is a deadbeat dad.
“I have no interest in discussing nor explaining my private life with any of you. Please ask that little girl to stand on business by asking her mother to join in on a 3-way conversation about why her father hasn’t been present in her life,” he wrote on March 7.
The motivational speaker claimed the truth would unravel if Nisa’s mom were present. He also insisted he stepped up enough since he paid child support.
“I have absolutely nothing to hide and I still have all of my family court paperwork in case any lies are told,” he said in another update on Instagram.
Additionally, he blasted his alleged daughter for clout chasing.
“Trying to use your father’s name to build your struggle streamer career is so not cool,” he said. “Coming up out of nowhere, acting like you been looking for me. Get mama smurf… I will have my White man paperwork. When can we do this sitdown?… Been paying child support since you came out the womb. Deadbeat who?”
