Dr. Umar’s daughter, Anisa “Baby Smurf” Abdullah, has been hospitalized. The 22-year-old revealed she was in the hospital because she became suicidal. Her hospitalization follows her recent disagreements with her father online over his refusal to be in her life. Anisa called the Pan-Africanist out for ignoring her all her life and keeping her away from her half-sister. She also accused him of physical assault against her mother, who Dr. Umar famously calls “Mama Smurf.”

Dr. Umar’s daughter has been hospitalized and is on suicide hold, according to an update from the 22-year-old. She gave the location as Lenox Hill Hospital and spoke to a friend on video call. Anisa disclosed that she was staying in the hospital overnight and would need to see a therapist. When her friend asked who hospitalized her, Dr. Umar’s daughter revealed her mom did. She said Mama Smurf brought her to the hospital and left after a while.
Before the news of Dr. Umar’s daughter being hospitalized, she had called out her dad for being a deadbeat. She said he was never present for any of her milestones. She also said he ignored her requests to connect with her half-sister, whom the Pan-African activist shares with his second baby mama. Anisa dropped another bombshell some days after, alleging that her father beat her mother. She said he was physically abusive to his first baby mama.
However, the psychologist has refuted his daughter’s claims. He called her a clout chaser who wanted to use him to grow her streamer career. Dr. Umar also denied being a deadbeat, saying he had receipts of child support payments. He told his daughter he had no intention of addressing her claims unless her mother was present on the call. He also denied ever beating his first baby mama, claiming he only tried to protect her from a rogue ex-boyfriend. Dr. Umar’s daughter was hospitalized shortly after the drama between them.
Dr. Umar’s Daughter Breaks Down After Death Threats
Before telling netizens she was hospitalized, Dr. Umar’s daughter shared a clip of herself crying in the car. She captioned the video, “It be ya own family!!” The 22-year-old streamer then shared what made her dejected as she kept wiping off tears. Anisa revealed that she has been getting death threats since she outed her father for being a deadbeat dad. She also disclosed that the threats came from people close to her.
“I don’t know. It brings me to tears ’cause it’s just sad, ’cause it’s always the most genuine people that get fu**ed over,” Anisa said, crying. The undisclosed driver, who was likely conveying Dr. Umar’s daughter to the hospital to be hospitalized, agreed with her, saying, “Sometimes, obviously.” Anisa added after a few sniffs, “Like I won’t wish bad on nobody. I got people wishing death on me.”
She continued, “People that I grew up with. People that used to be my family, but the love is never lost; I still love him. I still love him,” likely referring to her dad. The driver once again agreed she was on the right track. “That’s good though. That’s the way it should be,” he said.
Dr. Umar’s drama with his daughter has been embarrassing, but hopefully, her being hospitalized will make him step up.
