Drag Race UK winner, The Vivienne died on January 5, 2025, and until now there has been no real cause of death. However, during a short inquest, the coroner’s office tipped off the court with what might have gone wrong.
During a two-minute hearing in Warrington, the Coroner’s Office informed the judge that a post-mortem spotted The Vivienne’s cause of death as ‘unnatural’. Amanda Edgar, a Coroner officer, maintained that the deceased was discovered lifeless inside a bathroom.
Per DailyMail, Edgar pleaded for an open inquest, and its date was moved up to accommodate progress in investigations. Consequently, the inquest has now been adjourned to a later date. The review hearing will be heard on May 5 while the full inquest will take place on June 30.
Although relatives and loved ones were absent at the hearing except for the press, The Vivienne’s family has expressed their grief over the incident in the past. Following the TV star’s untimely death, family, friends, and fans crowded Liverpool, the deceased adopted hometown to pay their respects by releasing green balloons in the air.
Back in January, the 32-year-old was found dead inside their own home in Cheshire. Following the tragedy, there was no foul play in sight and the body was soon identified by The Vivienne’s father.
The Vivienne whose real name is James Lee Williams, became a household name after winning the first series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK show in 2019. But as it is with most superstars, he fought his demons—drug addiction. However, the Drag Race UK winner was very open about their obsession with drugs.
