Eboni K. Williams Defends IVF Choice After Announcing Pregnancy, But Social Media Reminds Her About Dissing Dating Bus Drivers

Eboni K. Williams

TV personality Eboni K. Williams announced that she is having a baby but the method she chose to get impregnated left fans a bit confused based on her dating beliefs.

See, Williams hasn’t been a fan fav on social media ever since a video interview of Iyanla Vanzant went viral with Williams putting down the possibility of dating a bus driver when Iyanla asked her about hooking up with a regular dude.

Now that the 40-year-old Real Housewives of New York alum has announced that she is pregnant through in-vitro fertilization, and expecting a baby this August, folks are scratching their heads wondering why she’d go this particular route using a sperm donor. But Williams defended her actions saying, “That was not my dream or fantasy. I had no real expectation around it.”

“I felt compelled to share this forward to the next generation — not just through mentorship, but through creating my own progeny and cementing my own legacy in this very unique way that only motherhood could offer,” she told People in a June 5 interview showing off her baby bump.

Williams said she hasn’t found love and figured she’d freeze her eggs just in case. But ultimately Williams shared that she has ample resources and more than enough love to bring a baby into the world on her own.

Now Williams has Twitter in a tizzy with some congratulated her on becoming a mom.

“She’s going to be the best mother, she’s lived life and has a story to tell!!” wrote a user on X.

While others took her to task for turning a nose up at the possibility of being with a regular-degular guy and opting to tackle motherhood alone.
