Just days after a Pennsylvania truck lost eggs worth $40,000, two thieves committed another robbery in Seattle. Police have yet to connect the men to the previous crime, but they have been declared wanted.
During an interview with USA TODAY, Luna Park Cafe owner, Heong Soon Park noted that he resumed work early that day. His landlord notified him that something was amiss following the blaring sound of the cafe’s alarm.
Upon his arrival, Park spotted two men who had now been tagged as egg thieves, stealing things and loading them into a white van. Although the restaurant owner attempted to stop them after seeing that they had eggs from his walk-in refrigerator, they hurriedly left the scene.
A surveillance clip corroborated Park’s story, showing the egg thieves going in and out of a walk-in refrigerator. Shockingly this was not the first time they were visiting the cafe. Earlier that morning, before Park’s arrival, the egg thieves had stolen some other goods. However, they arrived about ten minutes later for the second robbery.
Due to the heavy snow, the police arrived more than an hour after the thieves had escaped. During investigations, they realized that the men made away with products totaling $780. This included eggs worth $387, as well as blueberries, bacon, and minced meat.
Just last week some unidentified egg thieves robbed a Pennsylvania truck and made away with 100,000 eggs. The culprits were never identified but the police are still looking for them. Likewise, in the recent Seattle robbery, the police have their eyes and ears on the ground in an attempt to find the egg thieves.
