In a courtroom in Liverpool, 20-year-old Ellie Rixon from Sefton broke down as the weight of her actions sank in. She’d been creating and selling explicit photos and videos featuring a 16-year-old girl. Under the law, the teenager cannot legally consent, even though the girl had agreed to the arrangement.
The two had been working together for seven months, splitting the small profits made through WhatsApp sales. Per the Daily Mail, Rixon thought the girl was 18 initially, but even after discovering the truth five months in, she didn’t stop.
The scheme came to light when the girl, who turned 17 during their collaboration, tipped off Merseyside Police. A search after Ellie Rixon’s arrest last August uncovered a stash of illegal content. These items include 43 of the worst category A images, 11 in category B, and 119 in category C, some of which she’d shared.
Prosecutor Joanne Daniels pointed out that sentencing guidelines suggested up to six years in prison, a prospect that rattled Rixon and sparked a cry from a woman watching from the gallery. However, Judge Neil Flewitt took a different path. Noting Rixon’s time already spent in Styal prison for breaking bail and her lack of prior convictions, he handed her a two-year suspended sentence.
He saw two vulnerable girls caught up in exploitation, likely by someone unknown, chasing minimal gains, none of it tied to Ellie Rixon’s OnlyFans, despite her online presence. Her drug habit had fueled the mess. Now, she’s on a decade-long sex offenders’ register, under a prevention order, and facing rehab, her phone and GoPro gone, with a chance to turn things around.
