According to reports from KPRC 2 and the Houston Chronicle, two women were arrested on June 5 following an undercover operation at Essence Massage in Spring, Texas.

Deputies from Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office launched the sting. This comes after receiving community complaints about suspicious activity at the 3400 block, FM 2920 location.

During the investigation, a detective posing as a customer was allegedly offered sexual services by an employee.

Authorities identified Han Meimei, who now faces a prostitution charge with a $100 bond. Yali Tong, the owner of Essence Massage parlor, was charged with promoting prostitution. Tong’s bond was set at $5,000.

Law enforcement continues to crack down on illicit activity at massage parlors across the Greater Houston area. This is because such businesses are often linked to broader criminal operations. Many reports of human trafficking have been associated with such companies.

This arrest follows recent regional efforts, highlighted by ABC13, to shut down similar operations suspected of engaging in illegal conduct under the guise of massage therapy.
