A Texas man is on the run after he stalked his ex-wife, broke into her home, and reportedly shot and killed a man she was dating.
On Saturday, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said that 48-year-old Michael Maurice Mack is on the run and wanted for capital murder, Law & Crime reports.
Mack had been casing the woman’s home and had followed her and the victim, Kelvin Hinton, 53, all day, according to reports. Mack broke into the woman’s home through a window in the 2500 block of Wells Station Court in the city of Katy and started viciously beating the woman.
The woman told investigators that she was beaten with a rifle and Hinton woke up and started fighting with Mack to stop him. Mack was wearing a tactical vest and armed with several guns.
He reportedly shot Hinton and ordered his estranged wife to take aim and shoot the man too.
“Please don’t shoot me,” the wife said as Mack slapped and beat her. He reportedly threatened to kill her if she didn’t take his gun and shoot Hinton.
“Grab it, b—-h,” he allegedly said. “You better shoot him or I’m going to shoot your ass right now.”
The wife said she closed her eyes and shot Hinton as Mack held her hand on the gun.
Hinton reportedly forced the estranged wife to load the body in his truck and drop it off in Vidor Texas.
Then Mack let her go.
“Get your ass out of the car,” he allegedly told her. “I’m not going to kill you today.”
He turned himself in Tuesday morning.
