A former NFL star, Eric Moulds, is facing serious legal action after a woman filed a lawsuit accusing him of intentionally infecting her with a sexually transmitted disease (STD).
The woman, who remains unnamed, claims she met Moulds via Instagram in January 2023, reports Law & Crime.
During their interactions, Moulds allegedly offered her an all-expenses-paid trip to Charlotte, North Carolina, where they engaged in a sexual relationship over the course of the year.
The lawsuit reveals that Moulds, a former three-time Pro Bowler for the Buffalo Bills, knowingly carried Herpes Simplex Virus Type 2 (HSV-2), a virus that remains incurable once contracted. The situation took a dramatic turn when Moulds’ pregnant fiancée contacted the plaintiff, urging her to get tested for the virus, stating that Moulds had infected multiple women, including herself.
Further investigation revealed that Moulds had previously been sued by other women for similar claims. These women, some of whom were single mothers and fans of the Buffalo Bills, also accused Moulds of deliberately spreading the disease. According to the plaintiff, Moulds used non-disclosure agreements to silence his other victims and attempted to do the same with her.
The woman is now suing Moulds for negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and failure to disclose his STD status. Moulds’ lawyer has stated that they are in the process of responding to the lawsuit and will vigorously defend the former player against these claims.
