The competition for the 2024 U.S. presidency is growing more intense. Following the conclusion of the highly anticipated first presidential debate, Joe Biden is already looking ahead and making plans for the future. As part of his preparations, he has extended invitations to some notable guests for a rally in North Carolina tomorrow.
Joining Biden and his wife Jill at the rally will be Fat Joe and E-40, who are lending their support to the Democratic candidate. Their presence aims to not only show solidarity but also to rally more backing from the hip-hop community for the blue side in the upcoming November election.
According to a statement from the Biden campaign,
“Fat Joe and E-40 are both legends of the music industry, who understand the importance of utilizing their platforms to ensure their fan base understands the stakes of this election. The Biden-Harris campaign will continue to welcome celebrities and influencers from across the entertainment spectrum in the fight to save democracy from Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans.”
This is not the first instance of politicians attempting to align themselves with hip-hop. Donald Trump has already made waves in the rap world this year. New York drill rappers Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow endorse the former president at a recent rally. Additionally, there are more subtle nods, like Sexyy Red’s
“Make America Sexyy Again”
branding.
