Florida Woman Gives Ludicrous Excuse For Why She Snatched A Toddler From His Yard, Then Tells Police I Gave It Back!’ To Avoid Arrest

Browsed Sheriff’s Office

A woman from Florida reportedly took a three-year-old boy from his yard last week. When authorities confronted her, she claimed she shouldn’t be arrested because she “returned” the child, according to the New York Post.

39-year-old Pamela Monsalve informed officials,

“I gave it back! I gave it back!”

prior to police arresting her.

On Nov. 25, neighbors saw Monsalve take the toddler from his fenced yard in Hallandale Beach. They contacted the boy’s mother, chased her, and made her return the child before calling officials.

Bodycam footage caught her explanation, saying,

“He was outside, he was naked, he was, like, with his shirt, and his…everything was naked. And I asked for the people around to call police, and nobody would call police, and I told the little boy ‘Where’s your mom?’ and he said ‘no.’”

An officer inquired about the location of a

“playground”

that she had previously mentioned during their conversation.

She explained incoherently,

“Outside the, the…outside the, um…hotel.”

“I got the little boy, and everyone was like, don’t get the little boy, and I’m like, I gave it back to the mom… I gave it back!,”

she continued.

Prosecutors dismissed her

“no harm, no foul”

defense. Monsalve is held without bond, charged with unlawfully confining a child under 13. Police commended the rescuers for running to the rescue.
