Boxing champion, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is investing his money into affordable housing in New York City. According to TMZ Sports, the pro-athlete, signed a big real estate deal worth $402 million, buying more than 60 buildings with over 1,000 apartments.
Mayweather, 47, says he plans to use these properties to provide affordable homes for people in need.
“Growing up I used to dream about owning just one home by myself, when you work hard you can achieve anything,”
he said in a statement to TMZ while discussing the investment.
According to the Real Deal, Floyd Mayweather bought the buildings from Black Spruce Management, and most of the property is located primarily in the upper Manhattan area of New York City.
