Former Bad Boys President Kirk Burrowes has brought a lawsuit against Janice Combs for her alleged involvement in stealing his shares. He said Diddy threatened him over two decades ago with a dangerous object and coerced him to sign away his rights. Combs allegedly benefited from the illegal transaction, which deprived Burrowes of his entitlements. Burrowes, who co-founded the record label with Diddy, seeks reparations from Janice Combs through his lawsuit.

Kirk Burrowes Files Lawsuit Against Diddy’s Mom, Janice Combs

Kirk Burrowes wants a refund from Diddy’s mom, Janice Combs, and has filed a lawsuit against her. He sued her on Wednesday, February 26, in Manhattan Federal Court. In his lawsuit against Janice Combs, Burrowes alleged that Diddy coerced him into signing a document. The disgraced mogul reportedly stormed into Burrowes’ New York office, accompanied by attorney Kenneth Meiselas, and presented him with a contract to take his 25% company share. Burrowes said he was afraid because Diddy held a baseball bat.

The filing alleged that Burrowes, overwhelmed with fear, had “tears streaming down his face” and was “clearly unable to resist under the circumstances.” It added:

“Under extreme duress and in justified fear for his physical safety and life, [Burrowes] did not read the contract, but nevertheless signed the contract presented without the guidance of proper legal representation. He later discovered his signature on the aforesaid contract conveyed away his rightful 25 percent ownership interest in and to BBE.”

Kirk Burrowes Claims Janice Combs Was Complicit In Stealing His Shares

Kirk Burrowes explained that he filed the lawsuit against Janice Combs because she participated in stealing his shares. She allegedly orchestrated the incident, although she wasn’t in the room when the incident happened. Meanwhile, she claimed ignorance when Burrowes explained the event to her. Burrowes said in his lawsuit against Janice Combs that her and her son’s actions left him in extreme financial hardship. He became homeless afterward despite once serving as the president of the company.

The lawsuit stated that Combs secretly and unlawfully took over his 25% stake in the company. The former president said he uncovered that plot after hiring a private investigator last year. Burrowes also revealed that he tried to sue in 2003, but the court dismissed his case based on the Statute of Limitations. He tried again in 2006 at the New York Supreme Court, but the Appellate Division, First Department again rejected it because of the Statute of Limitations and a lack of evidence.

Kirk Burrowes Wants Restitution From Janice Combs

In his lawsuit against Diddy’s mom, Janice Combs, Burrowes alleged that he lost his career after Combs maligned him. He said she:

“engaged in a decades-long scheme of intimidation, violence, fraudulent misrepresentation, and financial concealment to strip [him] of his rightful ownership interest in and to BBE.”

She also allegedly blacklisted him from “various music industry events, companies, gatherings and business opportunities” and engaged “in a concerted effort to destroy his professional reputation.”

Burrowes asked the court to award him his stolen 25% share in the company, compensation for financial losses, and his 15% annual share with interest. He also requested a comprehensive audit of the company’s finances from its inception. The former president claimed that he invested $100,000 into Bad Boy Entertainment. However, in his lawsuit against Janice Combs, he claimed that she and Diddy continue to deny it.

Kirk Burrowes’ lawsuit against Janice Combs is coming at an inconvenient time for the Combs family. Diddy is currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center and has been denied bond. Hopefully, everyone involved will get justice.
