Former Victoria’s Secret Model and Family Abducted At Gunpoint In Brazil

An ex-Victoria’s Secret model who resides in New York, Luciana Curtis, her husband, and younger daughter were abducted at gunpoint in Brazil. Reports say masked men took them from a restaurant in Sao Paulo and held them in a shack for 12 hours as officials searched for them, per Daily Beast.

The suspects transferred money to associates of a criminal group and stole the couple’s car, worth over $33,000. The model, 47, and her husband, 53, Henrique Gendre, haven’t recovered the stolen money. Their oldest daughter reported them missing when they didn’t return with her 11-year-old sister.

Officials said,

“During the search by specialist police teams, the gang abandoned the family and fled.”

The couple and their daughter were dropped of in the northern part of the city and luckily, found aid from local workers. Officials investigated the shack where they were held; however, the suspects were gone, and no arrests have been made so far.

Officials reported that the family appeared very shaken, while Curtis’ press office stated that despite all that transpired they were “doing well” overall.
