An employee from Floyd County Public Works has been accused of accepting bribes through Cash App, as reported by the sheriff’s office.
An affidavit obtained by Channel 2 Action News indicates that Kelsey Curtis, 31, who served as a detail officer, allegedly assisted in facilitating the drop-off of contraband. These drop-offs included items like tobacco, rolling papers, and food in exchange for cash payments.
The affidavit reveals that Curtis received $100 through a Cash App account traced back to her. In total, there were 36 transactions amounting to $1,469 on her Cash App account, where she transferred the funds to her personal account. Curtis was arrested on June 3 and charged with violating her oath as a public officer.
She has been processed at the Floyd County Detention Center.
